Transfer duties
Transfer duties are levied on all real estate purchases. In the Suisse romande cantons, these transfer duties are usually paid by the buyer. To the extent permitted by the law, other contractual arrangements are possible, for example, an equal division of transfer duties between seller and buyer.
In most cases, you will have to pay notary and land register fees in addition to transfer duties.
